The gods were created during the Age of Creation by the Titans to watch over the prisons crafted for the Celestial Dragons. They were given a small portion of the The Creator so they could battle the dragons if they should free themselves from their prisons. It was this measure of creation that allowed them to create life during the Age of the Gods when they fully entered the Shadow Realms - it was also what nearly destroyed all of the realms.

Fallen Gods

The Fallen or Earth Gods are those gods who have given up their own divinity to join with the Earthmother. These gods serve as the vessels for the power of the Heart of Mir that cannot be contained. These gods slept in the hidden places of the world, but with the arrival of humanity some of them have awakened.

The close nature of the humans to Mir's heart gives power to the earth gods. As humans worship these earth gods they briefly gain some small measure of their divinity. The territory of these earth gods can be as small as a pond or grove of trees or as vast as sky that touches the Abjurer Mountains.
