Blackthorn Clan

The Blackthorn Clan is a dwarf clan that settled on the northwestern slopes and foothills of the Blackthorn Mountains. Named in honor of Blackthorn Silverhammer, the clan upholds the legendary honor of both the smith and the elf-friend.

During the Fountainhead arc of the Legacy of Marak campaign the |PCs visited Everdark Village where the honorblades live. Keribrar destroyed the Ironstone marks they were using to contain the root of the Great Tree and nearly started a battle.

Things settled when they returned from an expedition to the ruined city of Dahgweta and found the atlas:Tomb of Aegrin. The Honorblades have launched their own expedition to the Tomb in the hopes of wresting it away from the Mistress of Darkness and restoring it to its full glory.

The Honorblades is a fellowship of clan members selected to serve in Everdark Village. This village is deep underground below Fountainhead near the ruins of the city of Dahgweta where the Mistress of Darkness lurks. The Tomb of Aegrin is located in the city where Blackthorn Silverhammer laid his friend to rest after he fell defending the city. There is also a root of the Great Tree this band of dwarves seeks to stop growing.

They maintain a small archive monitoring the progress of containing the tree, the activities of the Mistress of Darkness, and their search for the hidden tomb. This list also keeps the names of those Honorblades who died in these tunnels.

Membership in this group is strictly by invitation from existing members. At least three members, not on the ruling council, must nominate someone who then gets voted in by the ruling council. That dwarf must go with the next group that stays at the village. If they serve honorably they will be raised to a full member when the return.
