Barony of Kuhn

The Barony of Kuhn was established by King Tobias Kuhn named as the first baron. The barony encompasses 18,000 acres along the Aland River directly east of where the Bornheim trade route enters the Elfe Wald. The center of the barony was the village of Ulrichstein which had been sacked in 433 and has remained unoccupied.

The Barony of Kuhn remains the most western civilized land in the Kingdom of Dakar along the Bornheim trade route.

In the early summer of 437 Sir Tobias Kuhn arrived with an extensive pack train, laborers, and his mercenary company. Before the first snowfall the village of Ulrichstein once again teamed with life.

The area remained empty except for a few trappers until 437 when Tobias Kuhn and his men arrived with a writ from King Reiner IV for the establishment of a barony. In three years a keep surrounded by a wooden wall was rebuilt as was the western tower. By 454 the town had expanded enough to build an outer wall and expand the central well. Ulrichstein is the most western town and borders the Elfe Wald, which makes it the last civilized land before reaching the western coast.
