Garrin Stonearm

Jarl of the Stonearm Clanhold

Garrin Stonearm is currently the Jarl of the clanhold in Bornheim. He is a true-blooded dwarf whose right arm made from living stone. Unlike many, Garrin does not draw attention to his arm and so typically wearing a long-sleeved shirt or part of an gambeson over that arm - using a glove to conceal his hand.

Garrin was born in the Urtlough Hall just like his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. The Stonearm clan's roots in the Rakarian Valley pre-date the arrival of the humans and Urtlough is one of their oldest holdings. Garrin wanted to splash in the lake and explore the caves as his peers did, but his right arm marked him for something else. Garrin was born a True-Blood, which is very rare and considered a sign from the Earthmother of a destiny of greatness.

Garrin did receive an education as his peers, but instead of playing or exploring - he was involved in religious and political education. He excelled in combat and proved a quick study in areas of literature and war. As he reached his first century it was already considered a warrior without peer in the hall, not just personally but as a tactician and battle leader. He came to the attention of Jarl Stoneharm, who summoned him to the clanhold.

In 345 AH, Garrin joined the Jarl's household. By 420 he was named the warleader of the hold and then in 451 he was raised to the title of Jarl Stonearm. The Stonearm clan has prospered under his leadership; although many grumble over his increasingly close ties with the dakarians.
