Unconfirmed son of Prince Corwyn

A striking and energetic young man whose father, Prince Corwyn Reiner, was assassinated by his sister, Queen Aurora I, to allow her to take the throne of the Kingdom of Dakar. A life on the run from a similar fate did little to hammer out the risk-taking of childhood. His mother knew he could not live a sheltered life so against the wishes of many advisers Alfric did not grow fearing the unknown. This mix of shadowing and stalking gave him a unique upbringing.

Much of his physical looks comes from his father. Straight black hair, squared chin, and brilliant hazel eyes. Those who remember his father can see Corwyn in him - most often when he talks. He has the natural and easy-going mannerisms of those born to lead and deserving of it. From his mother he got the knowledge of when to “stalk in the high grass.” His father stood up and dared his enemies to lay him low - Alfric understands to hunt their strengths and attack their weakness. Still his blood boils for retribution.

History

Born in the highlands of Krandryia, Alfric (Ælfric) grew up more troubled that other youth in the land. His mother, Anna of Horne, was the clan chief's favored daughter, but his father Corwyn Reiner was the slain Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Dakar. The same cabal within Dakar that assassinated his father would do the same to him if his parentage was found out. After his birthright was confirmed Anna and some trusted guards went into hiding.

Hiding to the Krandrians meant living among their enemies and stalking those who sought them harm. His mother made contact with people still loyal to him, but each time was forced to flee. Alfric reached manhood in the coastal city of Bornheim. it was here that he made his stand and publicly declared himself to those he was mean to rule. Supported by Lord Koen Brandr and Euriel of the Elves, he asked the people of Bornheim to help right the wrong against him. to overthrown Queen Aurora I.
