Stormrock Clan

The Stormrock Clan traces it roots to several families who fled Firock Stronghold when it was abandoned. They settled on the north shore of the Serpente Sea. Over the ages most of the following generations continued to move north to Stoneheart Hold. Those who remained behind became the Stormrock Clan. The Stormrock Clan takes their name from the bluffs where their ancestors first landed. Under the moon the quartz, shale, and limestone bluffs look as if struck repeatedly by lightning.

The clan has had a large influence upon the irillians and theodovans humans that settled in these lands. That have encouraged trade between the two nations, often acting as a honest neutral party. The money of the clan that is not used for expeditions to Firock Stronghold is invested into businesses and craftsmen in the nearby cities.

When the dwarves fled the destruction of Firock Stronghold many of them crossed the Serpente Sea and settled along the southern shore of Miran. Those dwarves that stayed behind became known as the Stormrock Clan.

The Stormrock Clan has not spread far from their initial settlements. The clan yearns to return and recover Firock Stronghold and makes a foray to the ruins every few years.

The clan is dominated by the desire to return to their roots. Although most dwarves have not returned from the expeditions to the ruins, there are still many volunteers when the clan undertakes a voyage.
