Borulli Bay

The Borulli Bay is a large bay on the northwestern coast of Miran in the Kingdom of Dakar. It is shielded from southerly winds by large bluffs and northern winds by a peninsula of land. The bay is fully controlled by the city of Bornheim.

The Doursse River flows directly into the bay. This fast-running river has cut a deep channel over time in the bay. This gives the bay an easy way for deep-keeled vessels to move from the docks to the open waters. The only difficulty is during the rainy season when the area is clogged with detritus that the river dumps into the bay.

The Zaber River is the other major river that flows into the bay. It no longer flows directly into the bay, but instead flows over the bluffs as a waterfall. This change was the result of human and dwarven engineering that created a channel for the river. This channel allowed habitation along the southern edge of the bay. Previously this was a flooded delta.

The city of Bornheim current encompasses the entire bay; although by treaty the elven enclave within the city and the hashan settlement have freedom to safely navigate the bay.

There are no significant islands in the bay; although there are several rocky outcroppings that captains use to navigate the deep channel. During the stormy season the largest of these have large and shielded lanterns for navigation during the night.
