Mladovians

The Mladovians are the former subjects of the Kingdom of Mladovo. The kingdom was comprised of humans tribes that were driven out of the Endless Snows by the Brunds and settled in the Rakarian Valley.

The Mladovians did not worship the gods as many other cultures. They viewed the gods as simply spirits powerful beyond comprehension. Like all spirits they strove to appease them for either their blessing or forgiveness. The Spirit-Talkers were those among them who knew the most songs of the spirits and would act as intercessors between the people and the spirit world.

Among the Mladovians there are no good or evil spirits as they are beyond those moral understandings.

The vast majority of the Mladovian diaspora has not left the Rakarian Valley. Their lands seized by the Kingdom of Dakar they represent one of many conquered cultures within the kingdom. Although much of their heritage was destroyed or left behind when the kingdom fell, the appearance of new Spirit-Talkers among them in 458 AH has created a revival of their ancestry.
