Realms

When it first came into being this existence was whole, but in their effort to destroy everything the devils fractured it. This existence was divided into three realms, Divine Realms, Infernal Realms, and the Shadow Realms.

The Eldar were not changed when the existence was shattered and remain as they were since this existence existed. They exist in each of the realms, touching all of them at the same time. those capable of traveling through them can reach any of the other realms from their own realm; although the path is fraught with peril.

The division of the realms is purely a concept of mortals and how they wish to order this existence. In reality there is not “outer” or “inner” in regards to reality - these realms simply exist. What is true is that the two outer realms never come into direct contact with each other, there is always the inner realm between them. It is for this reason that these names are best suited to understand the realms.

The Divine Realms are those areas under the influence of the gods who hold the life of creation within them. To the beings of the divine realms their realms represent the purest manifestation of existence as it was before The Chaos.

The Infernal Realms are those areas under the influence of the devils or demons who hold the power of un-life. Those who live in these realms are driven by the power of Krynan to consume all things and the power of the un-life to corrupt.

In truth both of these realms are mirrors that simply reflect a small portion of what existence was like when it was nothing more than The Creator and its children, including Krynan.

The Shadow Realms is the barrier between these other realms and filled with life and un-life in a constant struggle for supremacy, which means that it is generally called the inner realm.

Each of the realms is further divided into different planes of reality. These planes can be completely different from other planes within the same realm. In most cases the most powerful entities within the realms control the planes and shape them according to their own whim and desires. Likewise these planes would shift, change, and possibly even cease to exist without the strong primal power possessed by beings of pure life or un-life.

When mortals speaks of traveling to Heaven, Hell, Valhalla, Elysium, Elemental Plane of Fire or another of the other piece of existence, what they are in fact experience is simply the small piece of a much larger realm. It would be impossible for even the most learned mortal being to comprehend the vastness of even a small portion of the realms or even all of existence.
