Irrish

Earth Serpent Fallen God

The great serpent god Irrish is a fallen god, those who have passed fully into the dominion of Miranda. She gave up all of her primal power in order to slay a devil that had been plaguing the world for centuries. She defeated him, but now must lie dormant upon the world that has become her prison.

Irrish was one of the more active gods upon the world during the Age of the Gods and even when forced to leave Miranda she built a gateway commonly called Alala. This gateway was a place of large rocky mountains, vast forests, and endless sandy deserts. The few who lived within this gateway lived the simple life of hunter-gathers as Irrish would tolerate no structure or agriculture.

Alala ceased to exist during the Return of the Gods when Irrish fully manifested herself in the dominion of Miranda.

Main Article: Casis

Casis was a titanic coal-black devil who killed thousands on Miranda. His demonic army was small, but their fanaticism drove them to attack the gods wherever they were found. At the end of the Age of the Gods, Casis gave up his primal power and chose to live upon Miranda. This enabled him to continue torment the people of Miranda with little interference from the gods.

Irrish was one of the first gods to return after the Dark Ages and like Casis she gave up her power so that she could fully enter the Mortal Plane. Casis had spent centuries torturing a people she sheltered and she descended from Alala with a vengeance. While Alala fell to ruin and eventually ceased to exist, Irrish was locked in battle with Casis.

In the end Irrish was victorious although her loss was immeasurable. Not only could she never return to the Divine Realms, but she would need to sleep for many centuries to regain the strength necessary to walk upon this world which was now her prison.

This power is used to drive back the demons and devils that plague this world.

Many of the immortal followers of Irrish were instrumental in the creation of the Irrishite religion. They work through their mortal priests and laity to heal their mistress and bring her once again into this world.
