Faerie Queen

More properly called a Sidhe Queen, the queens are the most powerful fae in the Fae Lands.

In addition to the Queen that rules over the court, there are two other Sidhe that are are mistakenly called Queens of the Court. The first is the Lady of the court. She is the weakest of the faerie queens and is often sent on errands by her queen giving her little time to plot against her. The second queen is the Queen Mother of the court. Her position is that she serves as the voice of time who whispers in the queen's ear the limits of her power.

Each Queen runs one of the courts. These courts are comprised of those fae, Sidhe and lesser fae alike, who have sworn fealty to the queen. The nature of a fae is such that once they swear fealty it can never be broken. In addition there are a host of fae that have not sworn fealty, but visiting or feasting at the court. The politics, backstabbing, and maneuvering in a mortal court pales in comparison to one of the fae court.
