Fae Lands

The Fae Lands are one of the planes that exist within the Hydrus dominion of the Shadow Realms.

Occasionally called the Sidhe, Faeries are the creatures of the fae lands. Unlike mortals in the spiritual realm a faerie is most closely aligned to the various creatures of the outer realms. Fae are incapable of changing their true nature. They cannot reevaluate their lives based upon previous experiences. They simply are as they have always been.

Among the creatures of this realm the Sidhe consider themselves the rulers of the Fae Lands. The proud and powerful creatures would easily kill any mortal foolish enough to call them Fae, unless they were properly appeased at the time. Insulting a Sidhe is a very quick way to a very long, slow, and painful existence. To them the Fae are simple-minded creatures and as close to them as a human is to a dog.

The “fae” are the simple-minded sprites, brownies, and cobblers that populate this realm. Uncountable in number, even the Sidhe do not know how many there are as they are constantly moving about seemingly at random.

The Sidhe, as creatures of pure shadow power, are capable of moving between the various realms within the dominion of Miranda. Often with many fae following along for the journey.

Many of the fae that live within these lands belong to one of the many Sidhe courts. The three largest courts are the Seelie Court, Unseelie Court, and celestial_court. There are hundreds of smaller courts - some comprised of only a single tribe or creature. The interaction between the various courts and the members of the courts is very important to the Sidhe.

Any high Sidhe would laugh at the petty politics of mortal kings and his court. Maneuvering within a Sidhe court is typically deadly and final.
