Utmarii Plateau

The walls of the canyon are comprised of layers of limestone, shale, coal, and sandstone. The landscape is comprised of cliffs, arches, rock shelters, chimneys, and other unusual features carved into the sandstone. The conglomerate rock the layers around the sandstone has led to unusual rock features.

The plateau is divided into five different sections dependent on where they are located in reference to the Flumen Dei Animas (River of Souls).
