The town of Ulrichstein is beset by evil from its past as well as horrors dating from the arrival of the very first beings on the world. Both an ancient elven and dwarven sin happened upon these lands and their respective leaders would do almost anything to keep it hidden. However, a grief-stricken human priest of Taur comes here seeking absolution and revenge. All of these events circle around the Bloodstaff, a powerful elven artifact best forgotten.

Things from the Past. You can never truly bury the past - no matter how hard you try. The history not only of Ulrichstein, but those that lived here over the centuries come back to haunt the currently inhabitants.

Magic, Strange and Unknown. Magic is chaotic and cannot be fully controlled - it is barely understood. There are those who seek power through magic and woe unto those that seek to stop them.

There is danger in the woods. Ulrichstein is a walled town surrounded by woods. To the west is the Elfenwald that is claimed by the elves of Ellendar as well as the Kingdom of Dakar. The woods themselves are restless.
