Selcarian Knights

This campaign is my first attempt at a new system — namely the Chivalry and Sorcery system. While I originally started it under their 3rd Edition, I got our group setup as beta testers for the 4th Edition and quickly made the translation to a much improved rule set. This campaign as a very different feel to it than the others. Instead of the high fantasy feeling this is more of a gritty man-in-the-street game. The character's cannot simply wade into combat and fling their power around; instead, it is a battle of political setup and alliance building. Sure there are plenty of maidens to rescue, villages to save, and evil leaders to cut down. But this is limited to a very tiny kingdom located in the providence of Selcaria.

Further defining this game is that several players have more than one character that they move in and out of the storyline. This allows them the flexibility of not running on the time line rails, but instead bring in the character that bet fits with the plot. Sometimes the fit is a bit of a stretch, but for the most part it works. This really only works because the group is working around the same small kingdom — those story arcs where they leave the area will require a more constant group setup.
