Bow of the Maiden Archers

This stout recurved bow appears to be made of a single piece of an unknown wood. Its unmarred finish and flawless features would command a high price at any market. If examined closely by a full-blooded elf the bow appears covered with small runes; although they cannot be detected by touch. These runes tell a story about all past holders of this single special bow.

The bow was crafted by Elowyn with the willing sacrifice of her personal guard. Fifty young elven women stepped forward to become shaped by their goddess. Each bow is the physical remains of these woman. These bows were given to the finest female warriors among the elves. The Maiden Archers (Elowyn's Choosen) have always protected the forests to the last of their blood.

The spirit that resides in Tharen's bow is named Shanal. It has passed through several hands and a bit of each spirit now resides within. The bow can communicate to Tharen through her dreams; although she must be calm and restful. During these dreams the spirit acts as a messenger for Elowyn and trainer in the art of war.
