Draken ancestors once ruled a mighty empire that spanned several worlds. They wielded magic that allowed them to command the laws of nature. Greed and corruption brought the empire down in a war that nearly destroyed their race. The survivors of this terrible war were changed, eventually evolving into their current state.

Draken females stand around 8'5“; tall, while males are 10 to 12” shorter. Both have large leathery wings protruding from their back; although the female’s wings cannot be completely folded due to their great size.Their hard scales provide some protection and sharp claws and teeth provide the rest. In addition, some drakens have the ability to breathe fire, which show a relationship between dragons and drakens. Drakens have yellow eyes with black slits and large protective lids.

Most drakens live solitary lives away from any other races. There are small clans that have gathered in the ruins of their ancestors.
