Description

There are three different ways in which meditation can be used.

First, this skill allows a character to enter a trance-like state. While in this state a character heals +1 Body per 6% PSF% in the skill, provided the character stays in the trance for the entire day. This requires a skill check every 6 hours to see if the trance is maintained.

Second, while in a meditative state a character requires no food and only a single cup of water for the entire day. This fasting can be maintained for CON days without doing any harm. This requires a skill check every 6 hours to see if the trance is maintained.

Third is to meditate upon a certain task. For each hour spend in Meditation, a character receives a (CritDie/2)% bonus to the performance of the task. This check has to be made for each hourly bonus gained. The maximum amount of time a character can maintain this is DISC/2 hours. However, the character must announce how long they intend to meditate and must complete the full time or lose all benefits. After the Meditation is completed they must perform the task immediately or maintain Concentration on the task to delay performing it. This benefit can only be used on a single task.
