Presence

Presence is a multi-faceted skill representing attributes of leadership, reputation, and charisma. Characters with a high Presence can direct and inspire people as well as run an organization.

Command

Presence is used to direct troops, crews, workers, or other groups. A character giving orders to minions can use their Presence as a modifier to the minions skill. In a conflict this takes their action and can only be used with attached minions. While attached minions cannot normally act, when directed they can act as unattached minions. In this way characters without good combat skills can help their minions to fight.

Administration

Organizations use the Presence of its leader as the default of how organized it is and easily its members can be corrupted.

Bureaucracy

Presence is used as a all-purpose knowledge skill when interacting with organizations. It serves as a complement to other skills when used against an organization.

Reputation

Represents the strength of your reputation. This is not the same as fame or notoriety; instead it is a reflection of how often you have to rise to defend yourself from social attacks. When your reputation is under attack socially you use Presence to defend.

Charisma

Presence is used passively whenever anyone is trying to size you up. Rapport represents active attempts to make an impression, much like Investigation vs. Alertness. You may be asked to make a Presence check to gauge first impressions when you are not actively focusing on your efforts on making on. Further, you can use Presence as a complement skill for Rapport.
