Arrendel

Patron of Travel and New Beginnings

Arrendel is the Patron of Travel within the Celestial Court. He, along with several others, support those elves who leave behind their past for a new life.

History

Imprisonment

He had been trapped in another world when Tharen Starlight freed him and returned his artifacts of power. During the time of his imprisonment, elves had ceased to travel that much. They tied themselves to the land they lived on, and were content to seldom see much beyond the borders of their villages.

His arrival in the world has changed that. There has been a trend of elves getting wanderlust. More and more have just started wandering.

Arrendel himself is a typical elf with dark brown hair and brown eyes. He often appears in travel stained clothes with a flute in one hand, and a pack in the other. He is generally a happy and benevolent god, but does not have much influence in the world as he has few followers.

Returns

Once thought lost and slain by the dark elves, Aarendel the Traveler returns to the Celestial Court of Ellowyn. A favorite at the court for his roguish looks and outgoing nature, Aarendel has already made his return known by approaching several of the most sought after ladies of court. The exact details of his return are still unknown; however he has given a token of his appreciate to a young elven woman named Tharen Starlight and her companions in a mercenary company called Phoenix Force.

This caused a minor scandal because young Tharen had just turned her back upon the Maiden Archers by giving the bow to another and many of her companions are Dakarian noblemen and one was even named a Warder of Stoneheart Hold. Still, she carries his sword into battle and invokes the power of his name — so it will be no surprise that he will eventually invite her to court.
