The shadow lands is another name for all of the planes that have been created by the power of the Shadow Realms striking the Mortal Plane. The terms Shadow Planes and Shadow Lands are equally correct.
The Mortal Plane does not actually exist within the shadow realms, but instead is surrounded by it - so it is not considered one of the shadow lands.
