Reiner II

When Reiner II was crowned, he represented the first hereditary transfer of power in Daconian history. It was not without difficulties. While his father, Reiner I gave large swaths of land to his most trusted allies, support among the Daconians was normally given to the person and not the lineage. This was made more difficult because his father died while on campaign, which left him with little personal support in the capitol. The house, and possibly all of the Kingdom of Dakar would have fallen if not for the strength of his mother.

Warred with Ellendar for nearly 10 years over control of the Western Reaches.
