Stout warrior hypocritical of others

Marrik spent his childhood living up the the honor of his father, The Redsword. His father earned that honorarium during a fierce battle with an orc war party when he alone stood in the center of the crofthold for a full day fighting back the orcs. In honor of his bravery and skill the orc war-leader withdrew the following morning. Living up to that is an impossible task, so he became the fool instead.

Marrik is light-hearted by his people, even his human and elf companions notice his difference. he can get his back up when he things others are shirking their duty, but he is more than willing to slough off his own if he thinks he can get away with it. It is just that he holds others to a higher standard than he holds for himself. Rather hypocritical, but that is there problem not his.
