Guildmaster of the Noble Smiths in Bornheim

Harold was once able to work the hammer and tongs better than any in the city. His selection as Grandmaster was a reflection of his skill as much as that of his connection with influential people. The years have been kind to him, but time eventually claims everything in the end. He still commands a great deal of respect among in the guild and with the nobility, but it has been waning for years. In time he will need to step down so that a new grandmaster is selected.

None of his children are from the seed of his loin. An accident long ago rendered him incapable of children; although he keeps this a secret from everyone except Linda. She wanted to marry someone of wealth and status, he enjoyed the company of a young woman. he has allowed her to take lovers as long as she is discreet and nobody comes to claim her children as theirs instead of his. He has enjoyed raising his children, but should anything threaten his status and position his family would pay the price. Harold is outwardly gregarious, but has a brittle wall of anger inside him.
