Gunther Strausberger

Gunther is a man of great strength and rather dim wit. Learned in only the most basic numbers and words it is through his skill with the blade that he makes his way in the world. In 455 he dishonored his family name while serving as a squire for his brother when he attacked and killed Sir Adlar while his back was turned. Sir Adlar was a dishonored knight, but he had many powerful friends who forced Lord Waldrom to banish Gunther from his lands.

Gunther is now in the service of King Eleleno who has offered him lands if he would swear fealty to him, but Sir Gunther still seeks to return to his father's lands. During this time he uncovered a ancient artifact that he once hoped would herald his return to his father, but now fears may be the doom of this land. It is currently in the hands of Sheila Crawford, his young squire, who acquired it by right of possession.

He has since returned to his father's lands, but so far his father has kept that information hidden from his peers and has refused to acknowledge his son.

In 455 he dishonored his family name while serving as a squire for his brother. Gunther was enraged when during a duel at a tournament Sir Adlar of Ingol stuck his brother after his brother already signaled his surrender. Gunther drew his blade after a brief clash killed Sir Adlar. The memory of Sir Adlar was disgraced for striking an opponent who yielded, but Lord Waldrom still banished his son for attacking Sir Adlar while his back was turned.
