My original group and still my longest lived. The campaign was a strange mish-mash of high fantasy mixed with traditional module-crawls, political hash, thrown together in a very patchwork world. The whole experiment started when one week I just happened to mention at Purdue's spaghetti night trek gathering that I was considering running a HERO 4 based fantasy game. Then next week each of the prospective players presented me with their characters; meanwhile, I had forgotten I even made the comment. So, of course the following week I had my first game.

It was that kind of world-following-thought that characterized my effort throughout the game. Sure I dropped my share of eggs (but what GM doesn't), but overall my effort kept my players coming back — even after completely rewriting my magic system at least five times and my world sometimes changed right underneath them. I still don't think I will ever hear the end of the fact that the inner Caragan Sea just happened to appear after one summer break. What was worse was that the area where the characters happened to be staying no longer existed as dry land.

Even as I continue to run new players, and new characters, through my creation I always look back on those years with fondness. Thanks for the memories everyone involved in this group over the years.
