Death Heads

The Death Warriors are a mercenary company comprised of people that have been thrown out of other companies for various reasons. Cutthroats, thieves, and murderers are just some of the types of people found in their ranks. The Death Warriors will take any job as long as it pays good. While they rarely work to save towns and villages; more than one throne was toppled by this group.

The group is lead by a Captain and 5 Lieutenant . Each lieutenant controls around 20 mercenaries and is responsible only to the Captain. The Captain controls the selection and payment for jobs. For larger jobs involving more than one of the groups, he commands the overall force. Each officer position is gained from trial-by-combat. Any mercenary can challenge their commanding lieutenant (with the lieutenant choosing the method of combat), while only a lieutenant can challenge the captain.

CAPTAIN HARLOCK: This large, swarthy man has lead the Death Warriors (human/male) for the past 5 years. His dark eyes and deep voice have become legend. His unmatched skill with Sword and STR: 23 Shield have kept challenges to a minimum. In addition, DEX: 22 the company has prospered under his leadership. Unlike CON: 21 most leaders he only tends to take the items he needs BOD: 18 from the looting. His current armor is some magic Scale INT: 18 Mail and a metal heater shield. SHARAG: Standing an impressive 8 feet and wielding a two-handed (Lizardman/male) sword larger than some men is truely a terrifing sight on the battlefield. Sharag is the Cap'ns top lieutenant and STR: right-hand man. The mercenaries lead by Sharag are DEX: mostly comprised of beserkers and the like; although he CON: counts at least 2 mages among his ranks. If anyone is BOD: going to challenge the Cap'n it would be Sharag, but he INT: seems willing to follow instead of lead. When leading his EGO: troops Sharag is outfitted in Full Plate Armor that only PRE: seems to add to his bulk. He wades into battle with his COM: troops personally and has turned the tide on many battles. AREAL: Areal was always the odd woman of the lot, even when she (golbin/female) lived in her village. She is even more out of place around humans and their ilk. To compensate for her STR: twisted physique she practiced magic with the tribal DEX: shaman. After discovering her natural talent she CON: bounced around from mentor to mentor preforming menial BOD: tasks if only to study while they were away. Eventually INT: her skills become too well-known and she was noticed by EGO: the wrong people. After their deaths she fled into the PRE: nearby woods resumed her travels. She fell in with the COM: group and quickly rose to her officership after the PD : previous lieutent insulted her - she hates being insulted. QUELEN: The actual belief that this woman exists and indeed that (human-elf/female) her entire group exits is not excepted by most of the mercenaries. They have never participated in any battles STR: 18 throughout the company existence. In reality, she is DEX: 24 very real, deadly, and efficient. Once the best assassin CON: 15 in the Irloian Guild she left under a cloud of her death. BOD: 14 She now runs the shadow mercenaries whose job is scouting INT: 24 and eliminating those targets that may prove troublesome. EGO: 20 Only the Captain and Sharag know of her existance and the PRE: 16 other officiers only know that a company of spies and COM: 18 assassins exist. She is immune of all natural posions. BARACK: Barack was once a highly regarded and ranked Guardian, (human-ogre/male) until the Battle of Demon Gorge. Midway through the battle he had his orders countermanded by his officer, STR: 27 which resulted in the near destruction of his company. DEX: 14 In a fit of rage he killed the officier then waded into CON: 24 battle saying every enemy in sight. When the rebels BOD: 22 retreated he chased them down and slaughtered them INT: 13 without mercy. He turned his back on Vayne and embraced EGO: 12 Danshi. He has since been travelling around in several PRE: 20 companies, until his rages become too much for them to COM: 6 accept. When he joined the Death Warriors his fierce PD : 14 (1r) rages made him a officier in 3 weeks. ZENI: Zeni has always been the best man wherever he goes…his (human/male) only problem is that he knows it. He can shoot better, drink better, and even wench better. He served in many STR: 28 armies and has always rised to the top, like fine wine. DEX: 26 Unfortunately, one night his patrol was ambushed by large CON: 24 werecats. When a scout found them days later the patrol BOD: 21 was destroyed and Zeni was barely alive. Since then he INT: 18 refuses any offer of employment in order to hide his EGO: 23 secret - he is a werecat. Now his skill has become PRE: 30 legendary and his secret may be even harder to hide.
