Wind and Water

The Wind and Water is the primary religion among the hashan, regardless of where they live. The natural biological clock of the hashan ebbs and flows with the tides and their religion reflects that nature.

The belief of the Wind and Water is both deeply held and very personal. There is no clergy to guide or intervene on the behalf of the laity, instead the worshipers learn from other worshipers - passing down and often changing how they worship along the way.

The Great Water

The water is sacred for all life owes its existence to it. The world has many rivers, lakes, ponds, stream, seas, and vast oceans - but the Great Water is the source of all of this and life itself. The Great Water is not the river or the sea, but instead exists in all of them, is a part of them although they are but a small part of it.

The Divine Breath

It was the divine breath of the world that separates the spiritual creatures of this world from the animals. All beings came from The Great Water, but only those blessed by the Divine Breath are truly wise. This wisdom is both the mind and the soul, acting in harmony to guide the body. When the mind and soul do not agree - storms are on the horizon for the breath is not a gift to be wasted.

The core tenets of the Wind and Wave centers on the following beliefs.

From the water came all life. All true life on the world was birthed from the mighty waters of the world. From these waters life spread out and multiplied as water spreads out among thousands of rivers and streams. Each river may be unique in this world, but all share the same source. A single person is but a drop in their own river, flowing alongside other drops towards their ultimate rejoining in the great water.

From the wind came all spirits It was the Divine Breath of the world that gave rise to the intelligent people of the land. These people were raised above the other creatures of the water when the winds blew upon them. Intelligent creature all posses a mind, but only those blessed by the breath posses a soul to guide them. Those not blessed are simply animals while those who ignore the soul are cursed for they shun the gift given them.
