Tuluut

Tuluut was the only bipedal of the Great Guardians and also the youngest. It had the body and head of a sabre-toothed wolf and walked on two legs. Its domain was the forests that ringed the island of Nelphil. Tuluut warred with the Night Serpent, hunted the Devourer, tricked the Great Sphinx, and sought to catch the King of Birds.

It was not simply driven by purpose, but understood need and desire. It was not sapient, but it was the first primitive soul on the world. When The Great Cataclysm came Tuluut left the land and ventured to the top of the world. Among the icebergs it entombed itself and slept waiting for the time when the Shadow Realms would again be strong enough to live.
