Truesilver

Very little is known about Truesilver or even it is exists. Legends speak of a silver alloy, fashioned by the gods, or at dwarven forges at the heart of the Earthmother, or by the Ancients using devilfire. Master forgers and smiths throughout time have claimed to have have fashioned such a metal under the fevered state of something else, but have never been able to reproduce it.

The crafting of this metal may be legendary, but there is not doubt it has existed. Treasure Hunters have scoured ancient ruins in search of his material. Finding even a small sample the size of their fist would bring them enough money to live for a decade or more in luxury. It would bring assassins and thieves looking to acquire it far cheaper.

The first legends of truesilver dates back to the legends of the First Elves. A silvery metal that was forged by will alone was the province of the gods. It could split the barrier between the mortal plane and the Shadow Realms and harness the power released. The entire world was remade by the elves using this silver.

In the time since then The Great Cataclysm was said to be caused by one god using truesilver to rend a hold into the Shadow Realms so great it nearly destroyed everything.

Legends of truesilver would disappear until the rise of the Age of the Ancients. Without doubt the Ancients used true silver to power their Great Machines. This is the first time the legends tie truesilver to Heart of Mir that lives at the center of the world.

Magic

Magic is the only application for this legendary material. There is no account that speaks of any physical property that divides it from 99.9% pure silver. In all but the most extreme cases magesilver is a far better choice in terms of wear. In those cases where even the smallest fraction of fluctuation would be catastrophic the resources of a kingdom will be marshaled to obtain this metal.
