The All-Father who holds dominion over all of the heavens and the stars it contains. He is the ruler of the gods and it is through his name that the nobles of Dakar rule the peasantry. He is the father over all and like a father he often gives advise and direction to those who seek his guidance. To those who challenge him, his anger has not end.

Mara

Main Article: Mara

The wife of Byrne, she holds dominion over the home, hearth, and healing. She is a great beauty among the gods and Karash was courting as well when she became Byrne's wife. Above all others her clerics are welcomed even during times of war. Her neutrality is well known and her clerics often serve as mediators during a war.

Karash

Main Article: Karash

The Sea Lord holds dominion over all of the seas in the world and the creatures contained within. He lost both Mara's hand and rule over the gods at the same time, which at times leaves him deeply brooding. Still he is known for not only his great mirth, but also for his keen mind. He is a skilled strategist who organized not only the defense against the devils when they attacked Lom, but the attack by Vayne that drove them back.

Rath

Main Article: Karash

Known as the Shadowed One, his face and body eternally cloaked from view, Rath his existence to save the gods from annihilation at the hands of the devil Unshppari. He journeyed to the Titan Gate and peered into its depths. Whatever he saw in there not only gave him the knowledge to destroy the devil, but more knowledge than even a god could understand. Since that day he has cloaked his body and worn a mask covering his entire face. The mask is so dark that simply looking at it gives one the feeling of being drawn into it.

Taur

Main Article: Taur

Chosen by Mir to hold dominion over the judgement of all of her children, Taur is a solemn god. Rarely seen outside of Zwielicht, Taur prefers the company of his own angels to that of other gods. He is the only one of the gods that can freely travel from Himmelreich to Ulag and not be challenged by either god or devil.

Vayne

Main Article: Vayne

The god of battle not only posses great power, but a true gusto for the pleasures of life. He is not some brooding watchmen that guards the entrance to Himmelreich, but instead a jovial god whose skill in battle is unmatched by any god or devil. Those mortals who live upon the field of battle seek to prove their own skill in battle in the hopes that when they pass from this world they will be sent to the Great Hall where Vayne feasts. It is the warriors that live within this Great Hall who will stand with him on that final day when the Himmel Gate is attacked by a host of devils.

Aesir

Main Article: Aesir

Aesir, also known as the Windrider, is beautiful even by the standards of the gods. She is the goddess of the winds, storms, beauty, and love. A beautiful young woman with long silver hair and deep blue eyes, surrounded by a flock of loyal hunting birds — she is the essence of new and fiercely passionate love.

Cinoas

Main Article: Cinoas

Cinoas has the head of a great man with the body of a horse and the hooves of a goat. His straight black hair extends well down his back like the mane of a horse, while his curly beard is most definitely human. His equine body is blood-red with his goat feet creating the effect of dusty white boots. Atop his head he wears a crown of ivy to pronounce him the master of all beasts. When on the hunt he favors a curved bow and boar spear as the only weapons necessary. When shown in the guise of a true man he is strongly built with a broad chest and thick legs.

Tyrin and Cyni

Main Article: Cyni, Tyrin

The youngest of the gods, during the day Tyrin is a small woman with a jaunty traveling cap, short leather tunic and heavy traveling breeches. She also carries a heavy ash staff, a sack over his shoulder, mandolin, and a pouch full of traveling gear. Her infectious laugh, friendly tricks, and forward nature make her one of the most beloved deities.

Gemen

Main Article: Gemen

With a body hardened from the forge, Gemen is the most virile and handsome of the gods. He can also be surly, inattentive of his followers, and loathe to leave the forge-fires for any reason. It is his hand, and only his hand, that has the skill to craft raw divine power into the powerful weapons they used during the War of the Heavens. His greatest work during that time was Ragna, the legendary axe of Vayne. The head was formed from a shard of Nocht and head-spike from Sonne, kept forever separated by a small sliver of The Chaos.

Lom

Main Article: Lom

Lom is tall man with broad shoulders and long golden hair that is usually hanging loosely down to his shoulders. He wears a short tunic tied about the waist with a simple whipcord. His coal black eyes and strong jaw give Lom a severe, but handsome face. In his right hand he is usually carrying a large blazing sphere or a fiery mace, while he uses his left to guide hiss six great steeds that pull his fiery chariot across the sky, which people call the sun.

Lylidas

Main Article: Lylidas

None know what Lylidas looks like as she constantly wears a gray hooded shroud that not even the sharpest eye can see past. Her fingers are delicate and her voice melodic and she enjoys the seven-stringed harp, but other than that she remains a complete mystery to even the other gods. Also called the shadow walker or dreambringer, Lylidas is a guide into the unknown and mysteries of the world. Those she favors are granted insights and inspiration, while those who oppose her are plagued by nightmares. She is the goddess of dreams, shadows, and the realms of magick.

Helonia

Goddess of lust, wealth, and idleness.

Lynthail

Main Article: Lynthail

A hearty goddess not possessed of great beauty, but great strength and earthiness. Lynthail is the protector of the crops, watcher of herds, and caretaker of the world. It was she who nurtured Leylia's lifeblood and restored balance to Miranda before all mortals perished. She wears a long dress covered by a simple tunic and cape over her left shoulder. She carries a pouch on her right hip that contains seeds, plants, and all manner of things. Her boots and vambracers are wolf's fur with leather laces, which show her connection to the great north where she resides during the winter. On her brow is a gold and silver circlet, which holds back her long and curly hair, represents the circle of the seasons.

Nar-dök

Main Article: Nar-dök

Nar-dök was punished for creating the sithara in the image of the serpentmen that made war against the gods in the name of the devils. Banished to the Twilight Realms where he must steer the boat that plys the River of Gold in search of souls that have escaped from the ulag. Those souls caught by Nar-dök will be returned to the ulag when they have served their time aboard his ship, Helenus.

Danshi

Daemon of Slaughter A tall human female with fine blonde hair and steel gray eyes. Her favored weapon is two slightly curved scimitars, which she wields to deadly effect. Before become a daemon, she ravaged the Irillian countryside for over thirty years, personally killing thousands of people. She was well known for her mindless berserk rages where she would strike down anyone she could reach. Eventually she was captured and burned at the stake, but not before being rescued by Urash, Demon Prince of Blood. She now carried the ebony blade God-Slayer and its crimson companion Nightmare.

Zon

Daemon of Destruction Often called the Harbinger of Destruction, Zon was an simple farmer from the northlands that was possessed by a war spirit. This combination of mortal, earth-spirit, and devil has created something that is not quite a daemon, but not a devil either. He is the scourge of cultures and societies, enjoying little more than raising an army of killers and rampaging through the streets until they are dead. He has supported many circles of magicians in the creation of powerful artifacts and spells designed to kill.

Saint Alyes

Patron of Healers During the red plague the devastated the Kainanite tribe, Sister Alyes worked out of a small monastery nearby. She opened the doors to the victims, healing their wounds, offering them comfort, and providing last rites over the bodies of the heathens. However the plague was very deadly and just as its evil had passed, Sister Alyes died from its touch. Those that lived in the monastery saw a ghostly visage of Sister Alyes rise up from the graveyard the next morning before disappearing into the morning fog.

Saint Lyrel

Patron of the Dead Saint Lyrel was a rather short man with white-blonde hair and grass green eyes. He was a pious worshipper of Taur and would heal the pain of the living when the dead had passed beyond. He know serves as the guide for the dead spirits so that they will not linger upon miranda, but pass into the Twilight Realm and be judged.

Saint Khilur

Patron of Battle Khilur was a powerful dwarven warrior who's silver crescent axe was swung countless times in the name of Vayne. However, it was his piety and deep humility that most legends speak about the most. Khilur favors those who take the war to their opponents rather that wait for them to attack. A true warrior is not foolish, but brave and willing to take the risks necessary to garner victory.

Thunder

Avatar of the Storms Thunder is a huge black raven with lightning for eyes, thunder for wings, and claws that can rip through the best dwarven steel. She serves both the four winds and the Cloudmaster. She is often seen flying before the largest storms, warning those that can hear of the coming disaster — it is never a good sign when she appears, she always brings a change for the worst.

Master Dinas

Patron of Magicians Believed to be the only magician that successfully uncovered the secret of the magi without any divine intervention. Even copies of his tomes are highly sought after by any magician worthy of the title master. Now he serves as a guide and teacher to those magicians the seek to master magic for the sake of knowledge and not in the accumulation of power, which he personally despises.

Darsche

Patron of Seers Completely covered by robes of the darkest black, Darsche would travel the world as a humble beggar telling peoples fortunes for a few pennies. That his fortunes always came true was because he was gifted with the sight. Although his body was racked by pain and twisted by the fates — his mind was sharp and his eyes were clear. He no serves the gods in the same fashion, reading the events of time that will occur.

Thargon the One-handed

Avatar Believed to the favored assassin of Death, a powerful entity from the Shadow Realms. Thargon has given his blessing to many assassins that ply the trade of death; however he has also been known to take it away, usually with severe consequences. His support is very fickle and favors those that never ask for his assistance, but prefer to work their craft without help. He is known to be a master of disguise and is credited with killing both Saint Edwine and Saint Kienessa.

Valoris

Daemon Valoris was born during a consummation between demon and mortal in a defiled graveyard. A being of no substance and only the shape of a solid cloaked figure always just in the distance of the fog. His insubstantial nature provides Valoris will all manner of abilities as holy ground and surfaces are no hindrance to him. He can protect those who ask his assistance from prying eyes and nosy clerics — all in the name of his service to the underworld.

Lupine

Avatar A beastman that considers himself lord over all true lyncanthropes and other creatures of the moon. He cannot be reasoned with and he cannot be stopped, his raw primal power is an unquenchable thirst to ravage and destroy. He has been known to grant his favored with raw power, animal instincts, and complete bloodlust.

Tor

Avatar Having become more than simply a fire elemental; this once powerful fire spirit has become more upon entering miranda. It is now almost more human than element; although it still retains is outer shape. It can be reasoned with and bargained for its support. There are quite a few people that have build shrines to Tor, which he finds confusing but their supplications enjoyable. Those that anger him will find he is very quick to turn the fiery breath of a dragon upon them.

Saint Muer

Patron of Knowledge Saint Muer is often linked with Master Dinas, Patron of Magicians, as magicians are typically on many quests for hidden knowledge. Saint Meur also favors bards, minstrels, writers, and the thousands of scribes and artists that copy books. It is often quite common for people looking for some insight to offer a prayer or rub a icon of Saint Muer because he has given thoughtful reflections to many people during a time of crisis.

Whisp, Avatar

Whisp is more of a constant sense of being than any physical shape. Doing the bidding of the powerful Lord of Shadows, Whisp delivers both punishment and praise to those that honor the lord.

Saint Kenan

Patron of Smiths During his life he was a smith of unparalleled skill whose work was said to best even some of the dwarves of legend. Even hundreds of years after his death, even word that his most minor of creations has been unearthed sends people into a frenzy. Now he looks after those who work the forge and shape the metal. He whispers inspiration into their ears and lends his strength to their efforts; however, he is also a very demanding taskmaster — requiring that the smith not stop till finished. By striking the twin hammers mark upon his work, a smith is saying he was inspired by Saint Kenan.
