Outsiders

In its broadest term an outsider is any being whose natural creation occurred outside of its current place or time of existence. So, Entropy and Order are both outsiders to all of Creation. The gods and devils are outsiders in relation to the Shadow Realms. A human is native on the Mortal Plane, but would be an outsider in the Fae Lands.

All beings are considered native to the domain where they were created, born, or where their power lies.

For this discussion a Domain is a term used to describe any bounded location to which a being can be considered a native. This could be as small as a single pond to as limitless as all of existence.

Mortals are those beings that have a Mortal spirit or soul. They may be native to any number of domains, but the vast majority of them reside in the Mortal Plane. Unlike immortals, a mortal, can become native to a different domain outside of their birth.

Entering a Different Domain

Mortals can use many methods to enter non-native domains, each domain demanding its own price for entrance. For some of them the mortal must construct a new body from that plane and bind their soul to it - while others may allow them to enter freely.

Immortals are beings created by and only possessed of power. They are a living and typically manifestation of that power. An immortal cannot become native to another land - but instead are considered native to any land where their power resides.

Entering a Different Domain

In order for a immortal to enter a domain they must either create a manifestation of their existence in the domain or give a measure of their own power to a being native of the domain. Both methods entail risk to the immortal.

If they invest their power in a new domain it will weaken their power in their other domains, which could leave them vulnerable to others. The more domains an immortals claim as their own the less power each domain has available to it. When an immortal claims a domain they cannot later deny it and return the power they invested in that domain.

Creating a manifestation on the domain requires them to use beings native to that domain and they are no more powerful than the beings they used for their manifestation. Should a devil have one of their followers on the Mortal Plane create a body for them from a leopard - although they possess the leopard they are no more powerful than the leopard. Very rare is the immortal who would leave themselves so vulnerable.
