Lyonis

Lyonis is the planet nearest to the sun. It is about 3,800 miles in diameter making it the smallest planet in the system. Its orbit 32 million miles with a 5% shift between the perihelion and aphelion, which also makes it the closest. On average Lyonis takes 28 days for it to orbit the sun and it has no rotation about its axis. There are no moons orbiting Lynois.

Lyonis is a lifeless dark-red planet whose surface is cratered by the number of asteroids pulled in by the sun and deviated enough by its own heavy gravity. These asteroids have given Lyonis a very metal heavy surface which allows it to reflect a great deal of the sun's light. Many ancient cultures mistook this planet for a small moon or the baleful eye of a god.

Four times a year this planet will interpose itself between the sun and Miranda. These days are known to be very powerful days for magicians.
