Gryphon

The Gryphon was a unique creature that lived during the last period of the Age of Dragons. The head of a great bird and the body of a powerful lion, the Gryphon lived in a paradise among the volcanoes formed by the chaotic nature of the Shadow Realms. The Gryphon rules a land of birds who perched on the rocks and the insects they feasted upon. The first flowering plants grew in these mountains.
