Elemental Realms

Mortals often talk about the Realm of Fire, the Sea of Storms, or the Keep of Iron. Each of these places is but a small plane within the collective Eldar, frequently involving several of the Eldar. I would be nearly impossible to comprehend a place that is purely iron in all of its states of matter (liquid, solid, gas). Only at the Elemental Barrier do the Eldar exist in their purest form, in all other places they exist as alloys or complex molecules.

The oceans, earth, air, and all other physical things are composed in some matter of various bits of the Eldar that have become separated from the Eldar and have joined with other bits. All mortal life have bodies fashioned from these building blocks, but only the truly insane could comprehend the majesty of such an existence. To most the Eldar are simply powerful elemental beings so different they defy understanding as an ant cannot comprehend an elephant.

Unlike the Shadow Realms, Divine Realms, and Infernal Realms the Elemental Planes are considered the outer realms for they exist outside the purpose and will that comprises this existence. The Inner Realms are those areas born from The Creator or Krynan, while the Outer Realms are those areas that simply exist. No spirit of being of will can survive within the outer realms, by any means. To travel there is to simple cease to exist.

The various Elemental Planes by contrast are those areas shaped by some being from the Inner Realms that has given purpose to some small measure of the Eldar. The Plane is shaped and lives as long as the will of its creator gives it life. In these planes beings of spirit can exist and many of the most powerful beings from the inner realms have crafted elemental planes for themselves.
