Celestial Court

The Celestial Court is a demiplane located between the mortal plane and the Fae Lands. It was created by Ellowyn during the Age of the First Ones.

The Celestial Court exists as an entire city divided into fifteen (15) districts. Thirteen of the districts are ruled by a Duke or Duchess

Moving between districts requires finding the correct doorways between each of them. Only a few districts are connected to other planes or to each other. It can be a complicated map as the doorways change based upon the interactions and moods between two ducal holders. Each district has a door to the Eternal Forest where Ellowyn holds court; however it can only be opened by the duke or duchess recognized as in control of the district. They cannot be coerced into opening this door, but they can (and have) been tricked.

Eternal Forest

This is Ellowyn's seat of power. Although appearing as a large and dense forest the massive trunks and bough are from a stone tree. The Great Tree is one of the Elder Fae and has a bonded relationship with Ellowyn. Anyone that stands in this forest can feel Ellowyn's absolute power over everything that happens here. She is unassailable, which provides a measure of calm for her vassals. All of her subjects are welcome at any time and she has a army of lesser vassals who see to their needs. Any outsider must receive of recommendation from one or more of her ducal vassals to gain entry.

Silver Flutes

A district a large even ground with towers of silver rising from the earth. As the wind blows through this district the towers whistle and sing, lending great song into the heavens. The mood of the song reflects the Duchess of Silver Flutes, from deep melancholy to spirited soprano.

High Castle

The city is not a large grounded collection of buildings as you would find in the mortal world, but instead floats among the clouds. The inhabitants live among the thousands of scattered tends, pavilions, and yurts that sprout up on the clouds, each seemingly in its own unique color.

Last Bastion

Duke Mardac was the last, and only, liege of this land. Ellowyn refuses to appoint another vassal to the title and so the district has fallen into disrepute and darkness. Dark creatures and unseelie have moved into the district and now control a doorway between the Fae Lands and the Eternal Forest. This has caused problems with many of her vassals who see this as her continued decline. This district is dominated by a large keep surrounded by five walls guarded by towers. Each wall has a massive gatehouse allowing ten to walk abreast through the gate.
