Dwarven Trench Fighting

This fighting style was developed by the dwarves for fighting within their mines, trenches, and sheer cliffs of their homeland. It is brutal, quick, and extremely deadly in close-quarters; however it has almost no defensive capabilities as its designed to bring the opponent down as fast as possible. The preferred method of fighting is with war axe and punch-dagger. Background

During the heart of the “Brothers War”, a time when dwarf fought dwarf for supremacy of the magic of creation. Stoneheart, dwarven god of battle and vengeance, spoke unto Far'rock, the clan head of Nightstone. This clan did not fight in the war, but did offer succor to their wounded breathren on either side of the conflict. It was because of this that Stoneheart chose them above all others.

Stoneheart told them that dark times were approaching and those dwarves that survived this war would be swallowed by the darkness if the Nightstone clan failed in their task. He instructed them to gather as many of the young and unblooded warriors as possible and journey west. When the sea lapped at their feet they were to stop wandering and build a grand temple in his honor. Once all of them were gathered inside Stoneheart would arrive and seal the doors closed. They would not be opened again until the those inside were ready to face the darkness. He would break their existing bodies and re-create them anew; as a smith would re-forge a blade.

So, it came to pass that Far'rock gathered as many as who would listen to his words and journeyed west. High in the mountains on a cliff overlooking the Endless Sea he constructed a temple. The earth was rich with ores and the stone strong and powerful. They stayed in this temple as the Earthmother punished their kin, enslaved them to the giants, and destroyed their homes. During that time Stoneheart did indeed push them to their limits and beyond. Once they were ready he taught them a new way to make war; a way that was far deadlier that any had envisioned. When the seals on the doors were broken less than half that entered had survived, but those that did would take back their homeland and free the clans from slavery. Advanced Techniques

These are just a few of the more advanced techniques developed and honed by the masters of the art. They enhance the true nature of the art, bringing glory and victory in battle in the name of Stoneheart. Stoneheart’s Wrath

Unglor Blackfist developed this technique before the first of the dwarves journeyed back to their homelands. It taps into the blessing of Stoneheart upon your weapon — calling forth the power of the great god of battle. Death of the Thousand Hands

The spirit of Stoneheart possessed Hattan Nightstone, since he was a child. In battle he tapped into his incredible fighting spirit to unleash a terrible fury upon the enemy. He developed this technique to sate his desire for battle. Battle Fury

Developed by Lorack Manslayer, before he betrayed his family by joining the giants during a crucial battle. Lorack was an overbearing and abusive bully that just loved to kill. His “Battle Fury” technique is based off the few notes he left behind. The maneuver starts with the practitioner grabbing the opponent. Once successfully grabbed, they become a beserking fury of death. Those who would use this technique often turn their entire body into a killing machine.
