Grimshaw

A Grimshaw is a winged demon that appears like a small anteater with oversized wings. It is a solitary hunter with a voracious appetite. It feeds by grasping its prey in its wings and then pushes his snout into its flesh. It will then retch stomach bile into the creature which dissolves organic materials. As the prey's body breaks down a long thin tongue laps up the liquid. A grimshaw is not done feeding until nothing is left of the prey.

The wings have talons along the leading ledge the grimshaw can extend. These are used to grasp prey so they may feed upon them. The wings are far more durable than they appear.

A semi-prehensile snout with two holes comes out from their head. One of these passages contains a long tongue and the other is used to expel bile into their target. There is a bone on the tip of the snout hard enough to chip stone. The grimshaw uses this bone to pierce or gouge a hole large enough to insert their snout.

Along the body of grimshaw is its most sensitive and vulnerable organs. Slits along its body act as scent organs providing the grimshaw with the ability to pick out a single person in a city of thousands.

Grimshaws are solitary ambush hunters and often brought to the mortal plane to kill someone. This is useful as the grimshaw will completely dispose of the body after only a few hours. When they find their prey by scent a grimshaw will begin to stalk their prey. THey cannot move quickly along the ground so they will instead fly far from them until the moment to strike. They have been known to freefall unto their target.

A grimshaw hunts by scent until they get close enough to see their prey. As they can find a single individual among thousands they are often used to kill a single target.
