Yellohood Forest

The Yellohood Forest is a temperate forest located just a few kilometers south of Fountainhead. Comprised of oak, beech, and eucalyptus along with many varieties of flowering shrubs and tough grasses. The trees are tall, but thinner that those other forests in the Utmarii plateau with fewer rivers flowing through the land.

The forest covers just under five square kilometers (5 km² = 1,235 acres).

The land of the Yellohood forest is higher that the surrounding land and littered with large rocks and boulders. Small ponds collect rainwater in stagnant algae pools.

The northwestern edge of the forest has been clear cut over many generations. The soil is fertile and well suited to crop lands. The ruins of past civilizations still remain on these lands, with each new civilization building atop the previous.
