Pestilence Pustule

The Pestilence Pustule is one of many gray stone buildings in the Temple District of Fountainhead. Rarely does anyone visit this business during the day as its clientele prefer the anonymity of the night. The Pestilence Pustule if the most infamous brothel in town. The entertainment covers nearly any thinkable, and many unthinkable, acts. The partners don't complain as they are dead - actually undead.

This business is a brothel, but not one that makes its money on serving overpriced food or drink; although they have a small supply of both on hand. Instead, the prostitutes are the sole source of income. The brothel keeps a large number of bodies in a cold storage room along with a supply of souls pulled from the Flumen Dei Animas through a tributary that flows into Fountainhead. The spirits are controlled by the one that decants them into the body. This gives the guest complete control over their partner for the evening. The sole exception is they may not leave the premises - damage to the body just costs extra.

The exterior of the building is roughly 6 meters (20 feet) tall over most of it. There is a gabled fascia that reaches 7 meters (32 feet). All of the windows have been sealed with a deep red brick leaving the front door the only visible entrance and exit. The door is 2.5 meters (8 feet) and made from local teak wood stained a deep red-brown. The metal is polished brass. Three wide steps lead from the road to the door level.

On the ground floor inside the door opens into a wide foyer with narrow stairs to the left and right. The room is subdivided into smaller curtained areas giving each patron the gift of privacy. Inside each partition is table and multiple chairs. The guest wait here for their room to be prepared. The stairs go to a narrow balcony that overlooks the foyer, but is closed off to guests. The balcony has two hidden windows that look to the outside.

The hallway off the foyer is covered by a heavy curtain. Form this hallway you can access each of the guest's rooms. The interior walls are also stone granting a guest privacy from their neighbors. There are seven guest rooms on this floor, six nearly identical in size with one double-grand.

Along this hallway there is a heavy stone door. There are two physical traps on this door to kill the unwary. This door leads to Vitorii's personal office. The office is pretty standard except for the concealed hatch that goes to his workshop. Using a concealed panel he can open a hatch in his roof, which drops a rope. Climbing the rope gives someone access to a crawlspace above the first floor. Secret holes in the ceiling of the guest rooms allows Vitorii to monitor his guests.

The basement is only accessible from the hatch in the office. The largest section of this cellar is given over to Vitorii's workshop and cold storage. The cold room keeps the body fresh longer. There are also always some bodies not so fresh that a guest may rent. Along the wall are the decanters that hold the spirits he has summoned awaiting patrons.
