Geval Ca

Geval Ca is a large box canyon in the southwestern region of the Utmarii Plateau that is only easily accessible from the west. The Neph River flows into the canyon through a two-step waterfall where it ends in a large pool. Several tribes of people have lived here during its time, carving homes into the rock.

The canyon is comprised of mostly of sandstone and limestone. A large sandstone formation was worn away creating the unusual canyon. The lake created by the waterfall is heavy with sandstone sediment atop a large limestone shelf. It is large enough to support some small fish and amphibians.

Etarii Period

The Etarii People were a primitive tribe of humans that lived here during the Age of Man. They established houses by craving out an extensive cave network in the walls of the canyon. Many of the artifacts collected from this culture were fashioned in jade and obsidian. The obsidian was locally obtainable, but there is no source of jade. This indicates the Etarii either traded with arriving merchants or traveled themselves. The pictographs found on the canyon only show the people receiving “green stone” from a large toad and turtle.

Fehér Period

The Fehér Tribe were a very successful goblin tribe that lived in this area for several hundred years. They carved deep and extensive tunnels in the canyon walls.

Marak Period

The Marakii built a small settlement atop the eastern edge of the canyon along the banks of the Neph River. The settlement was populated for less than a decade before the Marakii abandoned it. The people who lived there disappeared without a trace in a single night.
