Kingdom of Dittare

The Kingdom of Dittare was once called the Providence of Dittare when it was created by the Irillian Empire. Located just south of the Caragan Sea and commanding the western border of the Black River, this was the first providence created in Selcaria. As the Elven Army continued to push east, it was also the battleground between the retreating Irillian army and irrishite fanatics who saw any retreat as heresy. The towns that were not burned by the elves where burned by the Irrishites. It wasn't until the elven army passed beyond the Black River that Marshall Dittare was able to regain control with the few soldiers he had remaining.

It took several years before the survivors had replanted their fields and salvaged their orchards enough that famine conditions no longer existed. It was even longer after that before the more remote villages could support themselves. When Marshall Geppietro called for the nobles of Selcaria to turn their backs on their homeland and instead create their own nation, Marshall Dittare was one of the first to stand and support his words with actions.

Separated by only the Black River, the Kingdom of Dittare will bear the brunt of any war by Irill to recapture the providence. While many other Kings have pledged their support in case of an attack, the people know that their soldiers will never get to the border in time to do more than stop the Irillians from invading their lands.

Fire Teeth

These small stone outposts stretch along the western shore of the Black River from the Dread Forest to the mouth of the Caragan Sea. Each outpost outpost is only manned by a few people, but what makes them interesting is that each one has a large magical brazier at its peak. These braziers increase the light from the fire and ensure that it will keep burning regardless of the natural weather. Each tower stands silent vigil over the Black River for an Irillian attack. The people of Dittare know that someday the Irillian army will try and invade their land - it is only a question of when.
