Alberius is the most eastern of the three kingdoms that were carved out of the Providence of Selcaria when it separated from the Holy Irillian Empire. Its ruling line descends directly from House Alberius, one of the Irillian Empire's most prestigious houses.

House Alberius had a long and very prosperous relationship with the Irillian Caesars until the rise of the Irrishites. This falling out occurred because the Alberius's had always been supporters of the druids and their way of life. As fortune favored the Irrishites House Alberius waned until this once noble house was but a shell of its former glory - their only remaining foreign holding was the land held by their cousin Marshall Geppietro in the Selcarian providence.

As the empire was falling apart, fanatical Irrishites destroyed House Alberius for corrupting their pure world with their evil druidic ways. Their lands were forfeit to the church and every living relative they could reach was thrown into a bonfire and burned alive. When word of this reached Marshall Geppietro he first took steps to secure his own position by jailing all Irrishite leaders and closing his borders to the retreating Irillian army until their loyalties could be determined.

When the new Irillian Senate tried reestablishing control over the Selcarian providences it was the aging Marshall Geppietro that convinced his fellow Marshall that their future was in maintaining an independent providence with themselves as Kings. The Irillian Senate has never forgiven Geppietro for his speech that set Selcaria as an independent nation and to this date still works to bring own House Alberius.

Lledrec has served as a druid for the descendants of House Alberius for over three-hundred years. In that time he has always arrived when needed and left immediately after the situation was resolved. Several times he has been asked to stay around and continue his advise, but each time he has only shook his head no and left. However, he was not around when House Alberius fell to a fanatical mob - instead he arrived in Alberius one year later and offered no explanation.

Unlike previous arrivals, Lledrec elected to stay around and offer his council to the descendants of House Alberius. Instead of residing inside the city he constructed a wide circular building topped with a golden dome. There are four doors and thirty-two windows evenly spaced around the building. Nobody knows what Lledrec does within the walls, but it is rumored that the building is actually a massive collection of historic references about the Realms.
