The Survival skill represents your character’s knowledge of Wilderness Lore, affinity with natural animals, and navigation skills. Scholarship is used for cartography, while Survival is used to use a map, star patterns, and other natural guides to navigate.
You can use Survival to overcome any natural environmental obstacle that you encounter.
You can use Survival to place aspects on yourself that represent a natural environment that favors you.
Survival isn’t really used for attacks.
Survival can be used to defend against environmental attacks such as weather or food shortage.
You can ride any properly trained animal with both hands free.
You gain a +2 bonus when breaking in a new mount and retain a +1 bonus when training a mount that has already been broken.
You have a +2 bonus to overcome any physical obstacles during a chase while you are mounted.
You can communication with single type of animal and get a +2 bonus when socially interacting with that animal.
May use Survival in place of Investigate when tracking. You get a +1 bonus when tracking in a natural environment.
You can use Survival instead of Stealth to skulk and hide in the wilderness.
Unless in an environment where no substance can be found - you can find food and drink enough to feed a number of people equal to your Survival rating.
