Combat time in Chivalry & Sorcery is measure in Basic Action Points (BAPs). Each combat round a character gains a number of BAPs based upon several factors, some of these are calculated during character design and others are based upon the current state of the character and their environment.
As a character gains skill they are able to reduce the number of BAPs it takes to perform an action. This is different from performing a hurried action in that this is the character taking the full amount of time to perform the action. All fractions are rounded off to the nearest whole number. These reductions are only used for actions that are based upon a skill. These reductions can never reduce an action below a cost of 1 BAP.
