This skill covers all forms of water plant farming. This includes reeds, rushes, kelp, and other fresh and marine plants. On average it will cost 1 crown per acre to establish a aqua farm. It is always possible to simply farm what grows naturally - in that case reduce the yield by half. It costs 10p per acre to maintain an aqua farm, either natural or established. If this amount is not paid them reduce the Land Quality (LQ) by 0.1 each year, regardless if this is an established or natural aqua farm.
An acre of land with a LQ of 1.0 is assumed to have 50% of its area covered by water. Adjust this number by 0.1 for every 5% change in this water. Furthermore, the LQR may be adjusted by the quality of the water. Finally the LQR of the farm may be increased by 0.1 for each additional 1 crown per acre someone is willing to invest into the farm with a maximum of 50% of its original value. This represents additional irrigation, mucking the beds, and reducing the plants natural predators.
The number of bushels harvested per acre of an aqua farm is CritDie * 1.0 (Success) or CritDie * 0.5 (Failure). The quality of the product (and thus the price per bushel) is adjusted 5% per CritPoint.
