Tarakian Islands

The Tarakian Islands is an enormous archipelago comprised of approximately 18,000 individual islands. It is commonly accepted as the division between The Isaurus Ocean and Serpente Sea.

Islands

Of the 18,000 islands less than 6,000 are large enough to actually sustain more than a single fishing family. Of the 6,000 habitable islands there are only six (6) that are large enough to support major cities.

Talarak

Main Article: Talarak

The largest island as well as the most populous, Talarak is a well-known haven for corsairs. The large number of smaller islansd and shallow barrier reefs in the area allow for captains who know the waters to escape any pursuing ships. The government of Talarak will occasionally issue a Letter of Marque to those who have shown exceptional bravery and honor.
