These volcanic rock islands are located in the northern western quadrant of the White Sea straddling the polar circle. These islands are inhabited by the Eishen religious colony along with hardy animals like the wolverine, red fox, winter hare, polar bear, whales, seals, and caribou. It is a difficult and dangerous environment made more so by the drakes controlled by the Eishen women.
