**Stonecarver with a Secret**

Yswa, from outward appearances, is a highly skilled Stonecarver that lives in the village of [[atlas:Kernwerk]] northeast of [[atlas:Bornheim]]. Like many in the area he has the physical appearance of both [[orgs:dakarians]] and [[orgs:mladovians]] - black hair, pale skin, and broad nose. In reality he is a shape-shifted [[creatures:Marlot]] that, like the rest of his kin, is hiding among the [[creatures:human]]. There are very few people outside of his kin that know his secret and he will do much to preserve it.

Known in the village for not just his skill, but his wise advice many people turn to his for answers. He is not the village elder nor has he served as [[wp>reeve]] or constable. He prefers the simple life of morning, work, and evenings. To anyone's knowledge he has never been married; although several women of the village have attempted to catch his eye at dances. Instead he prefers to take his evening dinner with [[people:Adolphus]] and his family, serving as a "favored uncle" to his friend's children.
