====== Josef Himmel ======

**Josef Himmel** is a righteous knight who fought in the many holy wars against the orcs to the north and west of the [[atlas:Kingdom of Dakar]]. A staunch adherent of the [[orgs:Temple of Light]] who, like many nobles, feels the hand of [[lore:Byrne]] upon their brow. After taking a near crippling injury while leading a desperate charge against a raid of goblins he was forced from the saddle. Idleness never suited Sir Himmel, so when he heard of the work Lady [[people:Arianna]] was doing freeing slaves of [[atlas:Xian]] he found a cause to champion.

Sir Himmel no longer rides into battle with lance and shield, but he skill with the hammer is still fearsome enough. The grey in his hair and noticeable limp stop him from campaigning, but there is still enough energy in his step. Regarded as a pious to both church and family, he double-tithes to his local temple even if his family must go without. This rigid discipline is the result of his father and long campaigns in the holy orders.
